Fredericton IPO Club is a dog sport club that trains all year around with the goal of competing and obtaining titles in IGP/Schutzhund. We are excited about new teams and hope to hear from you!
FIPO has created a team culture of hard working, kind and committed trainers who are willing to learn and continuously grow in our sport. Each member plays a vital role in club operations. We enjoy problem solving and working with each other as it truly does take a village to raise a Schutzhund dog! Members of FIPO train regularly all year around (a minimum of once a week). We have two types of membership. Teams residing in the Fredericton area are Full members and teams residing outside the Fredericton area as Associate members. |
We encourage interested teams to reach out to us today! We will work with you to understand how to best understand and train your dog in this amazing sport we call Schutzhund (IGP)!

All potential team candidate(s) start with our FIPO Foundation course. We generally run this course as needed when there is membership availability.
The course is once a week for four weeks learning the basics in tracking, obedience and protection training with two to three potential candidates in each course. Candidates will have access to audit all club training and events throughout the duration of the course. Completing the course does not guarantee membership. A few key attributes we seek during the course: the dog and handler's suitability, handler coachability and the ability to work effectively in a team environment will be the determining factors on club acceptance. |
Members of FIPO must become members of the GSSCC. In which through affiliation you automatically become members of the GSSCC East Region and the Canadian Working Dog Federation.
